A magnificent and exciting part of Scandinavia.
Visit a mountain landscape sculptured by ice sheets.
Here lie glaciers, snow-clad peaks and mountain heaths, where reindeer, Arctic fox and gyrfalcon can be seen. To the east are vast spruce and pine forests; the Taiga’s western outpost.

Man arrived here shortly after the ice sheets retreated. The oldest archaeological remains are over 8000 years old!

With its 560 000 hectares of diverse scenery, Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve is one of Europe’s largest protected areas.
